There are several ways for you to engage your local city government. You can participate in council meetings, attend budget sessions, engage in the local zoning and planning meetings. Below are different methods for you to get involved and champion a better East Point.

City Meetings
City Council Meetings: held every first and third Monday of the month from 6:30 – 10:30pm. These sessions provide you with an opportunity to speak to your local city council and mayor about the issues important to you. You can learn more by clicking here.
Council Work Sessions: held every second Monday of the month from 6:30 – 10:30pm. These work sessions do not provide an opportunity to speak, but rather allow you to listen and learn. You will hear more in-depth conversations around the topics discussed at the council meetings. You can learn more by clicking here.
Planning and Zoning Regular Meetings: held every third Thursday of the month from 7:00 – 8:00pm. These meetings allow for public comment on projects and permits around the city. It is held only on Zoom, you can learn more on how to join in and participate by clicking here.
Community and Zoning Information Meetings: held every second Tuesday of the month from 6:30 – 8:00pm. This is the only opportunity community members can directly engage with applicates for a development. No need to sign up but be aware these meetings are only hosted on Zoom. Budget and Finance Committee: held every fourth Tuesday of the month from 6:30-7:30pm.
