Before our meeting next week, we’re excited to have CVS Pharmacy on site to offer vaccinations for the seasonal flu (regular and high-dose options) for interested neighbors in Jefferson Park and the surrounding areas. They will be at our meeting spot at JABC from 5-7PM next Tuesday (September 18) offering these services.
The vaccinations will be available for free for individuals with proof of medical insurance coverage for these services (bring your ID and medical insurance card) or for purchase (check only). If you have any questions about your eligibility for these vaccinations, please consult your doctor. More information is available about these vaccinations at the CVS vaccination website and the CDC website.
Children under 13 years old can get the flu shot at this event with a prescription, while children 13 and over can get the flu shot without a prescription.
If you plan to pay by check, the prices for the vaccinations are as follows:
- Regular dose flu vaccine – $40.99
- High dose flu vaccine (for individuals over 65 years old) – $66.99
- Pneumonia vaccines – $120 (Pneumovax) or $225 (Prevnar 13, most commonly needed)
Our next JPNA meeting is next Tuesday, September 18 at 7PM. Our meetings are held at Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church (in the basement area through the doors at the parking lot on Winburn Drive), and we hope to see you there! We’ll be joined by a couple speakers this month, including
